This is an age restricted product for persons aged 18 and over.Spiros Lafazanis is one of the better winemakers from Nemea. He has taken over the farmers’ cooperative Nestor Wines from Pylos. Indeed, from the wise King Nestor. The area around Pylos is known for its excellent grapes. Together with the knowledge of Lafazanis, this results in beautiful wines.
This wine matures for 12 months in wooden barrels. Ruby colour with aromas of red fruit, blackberry, vanilla and light cinnamon. Velvety taste with chic tannins. Rich bouquet and long finish. A classic Merlot with an excellent price / quality ratio. 100% Merlot.

The Nestor Winery is located in Pyrgos Trifylias, one of the most bountiful areas of southwestern Messinia, and nestles amid vineyards and olive groves. It lies north of the Bay of Navarino just a few kilometers away from the ancient palace of King Nestor, and its surrounding area is considered one of Messinia’s most historical locations.
Our facilities overlook the Bay of Navarino from where the sea routes took Peloponnese’s wine and currants production to Europe. The greater area’s climate and soil conditions have forged the perfect winegrowing environment that has been taking winemaking to ever-increasing heights.
Nestor Winery S.A. is a relatively young enterprise. It was established in 2015 and is the result of a groundbreaking partnership between the Nestor Agricultural & Winemaking Cooperative of Messinia and the Spyros Lafazanis Family, owners of the Lafazanis Winery in Nemea, Corinthia.
We established our company with a view to reviving the significant contribution of the Messinia Agricultural & Winemaking Cooperative to the Greek oenological scene and assist in every way we can in the effort to re-introduce the terroir of Messinia.
