GIKAS WINERY
The Gikas family was involved with the cultivation of grapes since the end of the 19th century working the vineyards of Skouze and Cambas families. This led in the early 20th century to the acquisition and cultivation of their own vineyards. Today, Andreas Gikas and his daughter Vasiliki continue the family’s tradition in their boutique winery in Spata, Attica close to Athens. Their vineyards are located on the slopes of mount Kithairon at an elevation of 350 metres. Cool mountain breezes in the summer combined with the wet and cold winters yield crisp and delightfully aromatic wines.
