MERCOURI ESTATE
The history of Mercouri Estate begins in 1864, when a cosmopolitan businessman, Theodoros Mercouris, bought the land which later became Mercouri Estate. A few years later he establishes the first vineyard with refosco vines which he brought from Fruili in northern Italy. Today the fourth and fifth generation has picked up the baton and leads the Estate to the 17th decade of its life. The vineyards with a total area of 18 hectares (44.5 acres) include a part of the original family vineyards which is now over 130 years old but still produces exception grapes. One of the prettiest wineries in Greece and the living history of the region which is definitely worth your visit
